Lera has been Attorney Ros-Planas’ right hand person since 1990. Through her intelligence and hard work she evolved from legal secretary to paralegal and office manager. Our clients love her and for good reasons: Lera cares deeply about their cases, keeps them informed and educated about their legal matters and always listens with empathy and gentleness. A 1983 graduate of Kellam High School, Lera obtained a Cosmetology degree in 1984 but had a career change in 1990, when she received a Paralegal Certificate from Tidewater Community College, graduating with honors. Lera is also a licensed notary public. Lera supervises and is ably assisted by our mail clerk/ receptionist Kate Durham and file clerk Purita Ros, so that she has the time to handle more complex tasks such as office administration, legal research, drafting pleadings and letters and engaging in communications with the courts, other attorney and clients.
